Overview

The Wills and Probate Registry, a public entity of the Dubai government, is an ancillary body of DIFC’s Dispute Resolution Authority (DRA) that works in conjunction with the DIFC Courts. www.difcwills.ae

It offers an optimal legal solution for protecting Dubai assets, family and business after death of a Non-Muslim expatriate in Dubai.

By virtue of the DIFC WPR Rules, eligible individuals with assets in Dubai now will have the ability to register English language wills that create legal certainty for the inheritance of their assets after death. The Registry provides a simple and efficient mechanism for non-Muslims to pass on their estates according to their wishes.

Requirement

Client wished to build a bespoke application that would enable its customers and lawyers to avail its services and to facilitate its registry and probate processes by an user friendly software system.

Solution

emQube enabled the automation of the WPR process with an unified solution consisting of a public web site, an online application system for lawyers, a mobile app for appointment management, and a secured intranet application for operations workflow and encryption of wills.
